Surgery is not for everyone. It is for those who attempted sincerely to lose weight and failed through other methods. If not accompanied with lifestyle changes the results are usually suboptimal with high chances to regain weight later in life.

There are many options with three main mechanisms:
  • Restrictive.
  • Malabsorptive.
  • Mixed restrictive and malabsorptive.
