Basma obtained her BA degree in Psychology from the University of Jordan (Class of 1999), and an M.A. degree in Special Education from Framingham University USA (2002) and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Jordan in 2008.
She joined the Modern Montessori School in the year 2000 and established the well-known Learning Support Dept. Her firm belief in the inclusion of special needs students in regular class rooms while offering the help and support required was the mainstay of the dept. for the last 13 years.
In 2007 she established Al Murad Center for Psychological and Educational Consultations and Training. She has worked on many projects with the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities in Jordan, the Child Care Center at Al Najah University in Nablus – West Bank, the Madrasati Initiative with the Jordan River Foundation, and the Center for Development of Kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of Education in Dubai.
Basma is a certified representative of the Tinsley House Clinic for children who have been previously diagnosed with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD, OCD and Tourette’s syndrome of childhood.
Her desire and belief in expanding and introducing new therapies in the field of special education and psychological counseling was behind her decision to establish the MDB Center.
