These are rare hernias. Natural internal defects such as obturator and paraduodenal fossa are present. Other internal defects can be acquires from adhesions caused by previous operations. Patients usually present with symptoms of complete or partial small bowel obstruction. All these are better fixed laparoscopically if the bowel obstruction allows enough space to operate laparoscopically.
