The largest solid organ in the body is the liver. It is has a variety of metabolic activities and no one can survive without a functioning Liver. Through the bile ducts, hepatic artery, and portal, it drains and connects to the GI tract. The Gallbladder is connected to the common hepatic duct by the cystic duct.
